This was the time when the gods lived on earth.  On Earth they lived to the north of the Himalayas.  The job was to build the earth.  Making the earth habitable and expanding the population including humans on earth.

His own brother-in-law demons also lived with the gods.  Then this earth was an island, that is, only one part of the earth came out of the water.  This was also a small part.  It was in the middle of Mount Meru.

The gods of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh also created leela to expand the earth and create a variety of life on it and they used the power of Dev and his brother Asuras to churn the ocean.  The first reason was created for churning the ocean.

Durvasa Rishi cursed Devaraja Indra to be inferior to Shri (Lakshmi) because of his insult.  Lord Vishnu asked Indra to 'samudra manthan' with the asuras for curse salvation and lured the demons with nectar.  This is how the sea churn occurred.  This sea was the Kshira Sea, which is today called the Indian Ocean.  When the gods and asuras started churning the ocean, Lord Vishnu participated in the churning by becoming a kachhapa.  They remained stationary in the middle of the sea and the Madaranchal Mountains were placed over them.  Then by making rope to Vasuki Nag, the gods from one side and the demons from the other side started churning the sea.

Although Dhanvantari Vaidya is considered the birthplace of Ayurveda.  He studied the flora of the world and showed its good and bad effects.  Out of thousands of texts of Dhanvantari, only Dhanvantari Samhita is found, which is the basic text of Ayurveda.  Adi Acharya Sushruta Muni of Ayurveda had received this sermon from Dhanvantariji.  Later Charaka etc. carried this tradition forward.

Dhanvantari was 10 thousand BC.  He was the son of King Dhanva, the king of Kashi.  He made important research on surgery.  His great-grandson Divodas finished him and preached to the disciples like Sushruta.  The biggest scientific experiment in Dhanvantari's life is that of nectar.  Golden urn of nectar is associated with his life.  Dhanvantari had mentioned the use of making nectar in the golden vessel itself.

He said that Brahma etc. Gods invented the nectar called Soma for the destruction of a little death.  According to Ayurveda, Dhanvantari etc. there are 100 types of death.  There is only one death in them, Ayurveda diagnosis and treatment are the only efforts to prevent the remaining premature death.  Dhanvantari has given one measure of modulator of age.

He was born on the day of 'Dhanteras'.  Dhanvantari is the adorable god of healing, health, age and glory.  His mention is found in Ramayana, Mahabharata, Sushruta Samhita, Charaka Samhita, Kashyapa Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya, Bhava Prakash, Shargadhar, Srimadbhavat Purana etc.  There are many other Ayurvedacharyas by the name Dhanvantari.  Age's son's name was Dhanvantari.

* Finally, the 14th important gem is 'Amrit',

 14. Amrit: 'Amrit' literally means 'immortality'.  Surely there must have been such a beverage or chemical that by drinking, a person would have acquired the ability to live for thousands of years.  This is the reason why many sages are found in the Ramayana period and also in the Mahabharata period.  At the end of the churning of the ocean, the urn of nectar came out.  Charanamrit and Panchamrit came into vogue in the name of Amrit.

'Somaras': know alcohol or miracle drug

When there was a quarrel between the gods and the demons over the distribution of Amrit and some demons chased him when his son Jayant was trying to run away with Amrit Kumbh at the behest of Devraj Indra.  The struggle for Amrit-Kumbh continued for 12 days in heaven and a few drops of nectar fell at 4 places from that Kumbh.  These places were Haridwar, Prayag, Ujjain and Nashik on earth.  This is where the Kumbh is held every 12 years.  Later Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini and distributed the nectar.

The word 'Amrit' first appears in the Rigveda, where it is one of the various forms of soma.  Perhaps 'Somaras' is considered as 'Amrit'.  No one knows whether Mon is a juice or a liquid.  Some scholars consider Som to be a medicine.  According to him, it is written in the medical place of Sushruta that consuming it causes rejuvenation, the old person becomes young again.  But there is also a discussion of another Soma in the Vedas, in which it is written that no one drinks the Soma that the Brahmins have knowledge.  In these words the glory of the Brahmin's soma.  See, we did sompan and we became amrit or rose.
